Court / Man fined for breach of the peace
A MAN from Perthshire was fined £420 when he appeared from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday.
David McArthur, of 30 Den Park, Abernethy, Bridge of Earn, pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening and abusive manner towards a woman at an address at Dunrossness on Saturday.
The 29-year-old admitted shouting and swearing, throwing items around, refusing to leave and repeatedly headbutting a door.
Sheriff Ian Cruickshank also imposed a nine-month non-harassment order.
Sentencing on Benjamin Stone, of Park Road, Sandwick, has been deferred until Wednesday after he appeared from custody before the sheriff on Monday.
The 41-year-old admitted breaching bail conditions on two court orders in that he repeatedly contacted a woman he had been ordered not to approach or contact or attempt to contact.
Stone was released on bail until Wednesday when he will have to appear at court again.
