Business / Pierhead bar set to close
THE PIERHEAD Restaurant and Bar in Voe has confirmed that it will not be reopening.
The business has been on the market since last year.
The bar said on Facebook today (Wednesday): “With great sadness we announce the Pierhead will not be reopening.
“The owners and staff thank you from the bottom of wir hearts for all your support, custom and sprees ower da years.”
Pubs have been shut since March, but some are reopening from today (15 July) as restrictions ease.
Pierhead proprietor Billy Anderson told Shetland News last year that the decline of birthday bus trade and the reduction in the oil industry had affected business.
