Court / Tracy Walker murder case postponed again
THE CASE against Ross MacDougall and Dawn Smith, who are both accused of murdering a woman in Lerwick in July last year, has been further postponed.
A new date for a continued preliminary hearing has been set for 24 September at the High Court in Glasgow.
A hearing scheduled for Wednesday next week at Glasgow has been discharged because due to the ongoing restrictions relating to the Covid-19 pandemic it is not possible for the court to fix new diets or a trial.
Thirty two year old MacDougall and 28-year-old Dawn Smith, both formerly of Lerwick, are accused of murdering Tracy Walker on 30 July last year at the town’s Ladies Drive.
They are both also accused of assaulting a man at the same location on the same day. The charge includes claims they brandished a knife at him and did intend to rob him.
Both deny all the charges.
They have been remanded in custody since first appearing in court on 1 August last year.
