Community / Cunningsburgh Show goes online
THE ORGANISERS of the annual agriculture show at Cunningsburgh have decided to go ahead with the popular event after all – but it will be all online.
Back in April, a number of local shows including Cunningsburgh announced that they would not be able to stage the events due to Coronavirus and associated restrictions.
This week however, Cunningsburgh said they would host a virtual show at “just for fun” with no prizes and no entry fee on 8 August.
Committee vice-president Alex Dodge said: “There will be classes for animals and home industries for adults and bairns. As it’s all for fun 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will be awarded but there will be no prizes.
Go to www.cloud-line-shows.com and find Cunningsburgh show in the list of shows. Find the class you wish to enter and upload your photo or, for some classes, video. The rules are on the website, please follow these carefully.”
Entry starts on Saturday (4 July) and closes Friday 31 July. Results will be announced on ‘show day’.
