Transport / Ferries fall foul of weather
THE KIRKWALL to Lerwick leg of tonight’s (Thursday) northbound sailing from Aberdeen has been cancelled due to the weather.
As a result, Friday’s southbound sailing – which was due to travel from Lerwick to Aberdeen via Kirkwall – has been affected.
That trip will see the ferry only travel from Kirkwall to Aberdeen.
Thursday’s southbound sailing from Lerwick to Aberdeen may suffer from some minor weather delays.
Friday’s northbound sailing from Aberdeen to Lerwick is also under review with a high probability of cancellation.
Tonight’s freight sailing from Aberdeen is cancelled, although the southbound trip is scheduled to go ahead.
