Police / Police investigate reports of careless driving and vandalism

POLICE are looking for information after receiving a report of careless driving which is said to have taken place on Wednesday (5 February).

Officers say a white Renault carried out careless overtaking travelling north between the South Nesting junction and the Kergord junction at around 8.50am, resulting in evasive action being taken by vehicles.

Police are particularly keen to speak with the driver of the oncoming vehicle and a further vehicle, which was described as a black Mitsubishi.

They are also investigating reports of vandalism to a vehicle between Monday and Tuesday which occurred within the car park between 182-192 Sandveien in Lerwick.

It was reported that the rear wiper of a red Volkswagen Golf was damaged.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact Lerwick Police Station via 101.
