Transport / Ferry sailings going ahead but delays expected
TUESDAY night’s ferry sailings to and from Shetland are going ahead – but there will be some disruption to services.
After Monday’s sailings were cancelled due to the weather, operator NorthLink placed tonight’s (Tuesday) trips under review.
It has now confirmed the ferries will be going ahead, although the southbound journey will leave Lerwick at 9pm instead of 7pm. Its arrival into Aberdeen is expected mid-morning on Wednesday.
The northbound service will leave Aberdeen as scheduled at 5pm, but its call into Kirkwall may be delayed.
