Letters / Historian looking for details of Dr John Walker

I am trying to find out something about Dr John Walker, who became medical officer of health in Shetland in 1941.

In 1944 Shetland Labour Party started a process of maladministration against the County Council, based on research that Walker had carried out about public health here.

In 1946 he moved on to Greenock. Does anyone know when and where he died?
