Court / Accused of possessing knife blade at ferry terminal
A MAN from Aberdeenshire has been released on bail after being charged with possessing a knife blade at the NorthLink ferry terminal in Lerwick.
Marc Smith, of Inverbervie, appeared at Lerwick Sheriff Court from custody on Monday.
The 22-year-old is alleged to have possessed a utility knife blade in a public place at the terminal on 30 March.
Defence agent Kathryn Gordon said her client wished to plead not guilty to the charge.
Sheriff Ian Cruickshank released Smith on bail ahead of his next court appearance on 18 December.
