Letters / Whatever happened to democracy and democratic voting?
I have to say that I have lost all confidence in both our politicians and the legal system of this country [Carmichael calls for prime minister’s head; SN, 24/9/19).
Firstly this country went to the polls to decide whether we should be in or out of the European Union and the answer was out, so why are those of us who voted to leave now being harassed by those who wanted to stay to have it recanted?
Whatever happened to democracy and democratic voting because I certainly knew what it meant.
Secondly I do not believe that the legal system should have ever been involved in this matter as lawyers saying what politicians should do is totally wrong and the next thing we will see is the military running the country.
