News / Police investigate ‘wilful fire-raising’ at Sound school
POLICE are looking for information after receiving reports of wilful fire-raising at the Sound Primary School in Lerwick.
The incident is said to have happened at 4am on Sunday (22 September).
The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, resulting in damage to a fence post.
Police are particularly keen to speak to a group of youths who were seen running away from the area at the time.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111. Alternatively they can attend at Lerwick Police Station.
