News / Police look for witnesses after Lerwick assault

POLICE are looking to speak to any witnesses who may have seen an assault in Lerwick in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Officers said a member of the public was assaulted following a disturbance on the street outside Cee and Jays on Commercial Road. They were punched in the face and required medical attention.

The incident is believed to have occurred at around 3.30am.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101 or visit Lerwick Police Station.
