Emergency services / Woman rescued at the Sletts
A WOMAN was rescued from the sea at the Sletts in Lerwick on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services reacted to multiple 999 calls at just after 2pm reporting a person in the water near to the Tesco roundabout.
A Coastguard rescue swimmer was immediately deployed in an attempt to reach the woman who was some distance out.
She was safely recovered and taken by ambulance to the Gilbert Bain Hospital for medical treatment.
