SHETLAND has won the junior inter-county Stuart Cup again thanks to a 173-124 win over Orkney on home turf.

The tournament kicked off on Saturday morning in Brae where the hockey team won 2-0.

There was also success later that day in the athletics, with the blues winning 56-40.

In the football, meanwhile, Shetland won 2-1 thanks to goals from Jack Fitzsimmons and Josh Carroll.

On Sunday Shetland lost 48-31 in the netball in what was Orkney’s sole victory, but the swimmers managed to beat their rivals 66-31.

The blues were captained by Seumas Mackay and Hannah Robertson.

Shetland Junior Inter County Association said everyone involved should be “immensely proud” of their achievements.
