Court / Prison sentence reduced on appeal
A MAN from Lerwick who was sent to prison for ten months earlier this year for threatening and abusive behaviour towards his ex-partner has had his sentence reduced on appeal.
Colin Robertson, of Hoofields, had admitted committing the offence at an address in Gulberwick on 3 January while on bail.
He was sent to prison at Lerwick Sheriff Court in February, but the was sentence backdated to when he first entered custody on 4 January.
The 38-year-old has now had his sentence reduced from ten months to four months after successfully winning an appeal.
