News / Police investigate unprovoked assault and metal theft
POLICE are looking for information after a man was assaulted without provocation in Lerwick at the weekend.
The incident happened on Harbour Street on Saturday at around 8.40pm.
Officers, meanwhile, are also keen to hear information about the theft of copper piping and a copper cylinder from an open trailer parked at the fish market in Lerwick near to the Malakoff building.
The theft is said to have taken place between 7pm on Monday 11 March and 8.30am the following day.
Police can be contacted on 101 regarding either of the incidents.
