Marine / Sperm whale remains wash up in Unst
A DEAD sperm whale thought to be around 40ft long has washed up on the west coast of Unst.
Scottish Natural Heritage’s Karen Hall said the whale is not expected to cause any harm and will be left there.
The dead whale was photographed at Underhoull by Sally Huband on Saturday morning.
If possible, measurements may be taken, as well as a skin sample for DNA.
