News / Fire brigade called out to Da Haaf restaurant
TWO appliances from Lerwick and Scalloway were called out just before midday to deal with a fire that started in the kitchen of the Da Haaf restaurant, in Scalloway.
Fire fighters use two sets of breathing apparatus as well as foam to put the fire out which is understood to have started in a fryer.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were alerted at 11.41am and were able to report the fire extinguished half an hour later.
