News / Bail for man charged with assault
A LERWICK man was released on bail at the town’s sheriff court on Thursday after appearing on charges of assault and behaving in a threatening and abusive manner.
Colin Robertson, 37, address given as Hoofields, made no plea or declaration after appearing from custody. He was charged with repeatedly punching a man on the head and injuring him at a house in Brown’s Road on Boxing Day and making threats at Lerwick police station later on that day.
Honorary Sheriff Willie Shannon granted him bail with the conditions that he avoid contact by any means with the complainer and that he seek help from a GP for purported mental health issues as soon as possible.
