Court / Hefty fine for £1 drug possession
POSSESSING an illegal class C tablet worth £1 cost a man a £270 fine at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
Louis Chautems, 24, of Castle Terrace in Ullapool, pleaded guilty by letter to the offence that took place on the 27 May this year.
Chautems had been one of a number of people at an address in Da Vadill, Lerwick, that police raided under a drug search warrant.
