Entertainment / Piano and harp combine
PIANO and harp music is set to marry at Mareel next month as two Shetland born musicians combine for a special show.
Neil Georgeson and Sophie Rocks will perform at the Lerwick venue on 14 November in their first live gig together.
The show is entitled Mirrie Dancers and it is inspired by the night sky and dance music.
They will perform several works from Claude Debussy to mark his centenary year, as well as the likes of Suite Galactique by French-Canadian composer Caroline Lizotte and the world premiere of a new work by British composer Patrick Nunn.
There will also be arrangements of traditional folk music in addition to classics by Chopin, Stockhausen and Ravel.
Tickets are available now online, over the phone on 01595 745500 or in person at Mareel.
