Court / Man accused of assault
A MAN was released on bail on Monday after appearing at Lerwick Sheriff Court from custody accused of assaulting two women.
Jaroslav Maksimowicz, whose bail address was given as Gardie Lane in Lerwick, was alleged to have assaulted his ex-partner at a property in the town’s Sandveien on Saturday (20 October) by repeatedly pushing her and pouring a cup of coffee over her.
The 53-year-old was accused of shouting and swearing at her, as well as assaulting another woman by pushing her and kicking her on the body.
His case was continued without plea until Wednesday (24 October) and he was released on bail with special conditions not to contact both complainers or enter Sandveien.
