Court / Crash driver awaits sentence
A MAN whose dangerous drink driving caused a crash that injured three people has had his sentence deferred for a social inquiry report.
Allan Forbes Prosser, 22, of Riverpark, Nairn, admitted dangerous driving by driving a car on the wrong side of the road and colliding with another car on 5 August last year while under the influence of drink.
The crash, at the Point of Mulla on the day of the Voe Show, injured a 12-year-old child and two adults. Prosser admitted having no less than 120 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
Sheriff Ian Cruickshank gave a Prosser an interim driving disqualification and called for a criminal justice social work report and a restriction of liberty order assessment before Prosser appears for sentencing on 21 November. His bail was continued when he appeared at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
