News / Fjanna ready for Northumberland concert
A WELL-known young group of traditional Shetland musicians Fjanna are heading to the mainland at the end of October for their first mainland booking since releasing their debut album Route 970 last year.
Mike Laurenson (aged 15), Anya Johnston (15), Arran Philip (17) and Jodie Smith (15) will be the guest act at the Glendale fiddle and accordion club in Wooler, Northumberland, on 25 October.
The invitation came straight off the group’s recent performance in the Shetland Hotel where they supported award winning accordionist Leonard Brown.
