News / Youngsters scale Ben Nevis for disability charity
TWO children have raised over £1,500 for Disability Shetland thanks to a sponsored climb of Ben Nevis.
Benji Bain, 10, and his 12-year-old brother Dougray, scaled the UK’s highest mountain in the summer holidays.
Accompanied by their parents, the boys reached the 1,345 metre peak in less than four hours.
The money raised will allow Disability Shetland to buy two all-terrain wheelchairs, giving everyone equal access to the outdoors.
