News / Molly gets funding for theatre trip to Inverness

Molly Emily Williams.

A TWENTY year old Shetlander has been given funding to allow her to travel to Inverness to develop her passion for theatre.

Molly Williams will take part in the National Theatre Connections Festival thanks to Creative Scotland and Young Scot’s Nurturing Talent Fund.

She has been involved in youth theatre, pantomimes, musicals and circus shows over the years.

The fund is administered by the National Youth Arts Advisory Group for Scotland, a group of 35 young Scots aged 14-23 from across Scotland who are working towards shaping the future of culture and creativity in the country.

Molly said: “Thanks to the Nurturing Talent Fund I can take part in different drama and theatre events regardless of living far away from most opportunities.

“This funding will enable me to meet like-minded people who also enjoy the theatre, build new friendships and develop new skills.”
