News / Passenger ferry leaves early
PASSENGERS in board Serco NorthLink’s ferry Hjaltland are in for an uncomfortable 20 hours crossing to Aberdeen after the passenger vessel left Lerwick harbour at 11am on Saturday morning, eight hours ahead of schedule, to avoid the worst of an approaching westerly gale.
Its sister vessel Hrossey is meanwhile delaying its Saturday sailing north by five hours and is now scheduled to depart Aberdeen at 10pm. Check-in times are unchanged though.
The Hrossey is expected to arrive at Lerwick harbour at 1pm on Sunday.
