News / Woman in hospital after being hit by car at supermarket
A WOMAN was taken to hospital on Thursday afternoon after being struck by a car at a Lerwick supermarket.
The accident happened at the Co-op car park and the call came in at around 12.40pm.
The woman, who is in her fifties, was taken to the Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick.
It follows a man being taken to hospital in Aberdeen after he was injured in a road traffic accident between a car and a pedestrian at the north end of Lerwick.
