News / Widespread power cut in Sandwick and Levenwick
OVER 840 households in Sandwick and Levenwick lost power on Friday afternoon after an overheard line came down.
The problem occurred at around 2.20pm and by 4pm just under 400 customers were still without electricity.
A spokeswoman for Scottish and Southern Energy Power Distribution said it hoped that supply to all households would be restored by 5pm and it apologised for any inconvenience caused.
