News / Main road to Toft closed
MOTORISTS are being advised to allow for extra time when travelling in Shetland’s north mainland over the next two weeks due to major road works on the A968.
Road resurfacing will get under way on Thursday when traffic between Tagon and Toft will be managed using traffic lights.
Then from Monday 30 October the road will be closed, and drivers will have to use the alternative route via Brae and Firth.
The SIC’s roads department said the road would be closed Monday to Fridays between 9am and 4pm until 8 November.
