News / Traffic diverted after pole fire

THERE was disruption to the main road heading north from Lerwick on Monday afternoon after an electricity pole caught fire in Tingwall.

Traffic was diverted past the Herrislea House for a few hours from about midday as engineers fixed the problem.

There was no effect to the electricity supply.
