A LARGE scale training exercise involving the Lerwick Lifeboat and coastguard teams took place in and around Vidlin on Saturday afternoon.

It saw members of the local Police Scotland Youth Volunteers group who were acting as casualties being taken off the council ferry Filla before they were brought to land.

Photographer Steven Johnson was also asked to take part and he was on hand to take some images from the day.
