News / Accused of assault resulting in permanent disfigurement

A FORTY nine year old man has appeared in court charged with assault to severe injury and permanent disfigurement and impairment.

Douglas Hughes, from Perth, appeared in private from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday afternoon.

He made no plea, was committed for further examination and released on bail.
