She beat her Shetland compatriot Molly Morgan, who finished in sixth place.
John Magnus Laureson is doing well in the individual skeet shooting event and he is currently placed in third with a few more rounds to go.
The football team meanwhile failed to overcome neighbour rivals Orkney as they lost 3-1 in what was billed as the 9th/10th placing match, with Sam Maver grabbing Shetland’s sole goal.
The blues’ medal tally currently stands at ten – three golds, three silvers and four bronzes.
Six of them has come from the swimming team, while athletics has bagged two.
