News / Lifeboat called out
LERWICK lifeboat was called out just after midnight on Sunday to assist a Swedish yacht that was taking in water quite rapidly off the Bressay lighthouse.
The Hanna M, with two people on board, was towed to the safety of the small boat harbour where she was pumped dry by the local fire brigade. The yacht is now awaiting repairs to its propeller shaft.
Meanwhile, a passenger from the small cruise ship Serenissima, berthed at Victoria Pier, has been taken to hospital by ambulance on Sunday morning.
