News / Racial incident – man charged

POLICE have confirmed that a man has been charged with committing a racially-aggravated offence in a Lerwick town centre corner shop at the weekend.

An appeal was previously issued for information about the suspected racial incident at Don Leslie’s on Friday evening.

Police thanked the public for their support in the matter and said the man would appear at Lerwick Sheriff Court in due course.
