News / Lewis’ album launch
A RISING Shetland pianist and composer will launch his debut album at a gig in Quarff in June.
Lewis Hall, who studied music through Shetland College and is known for playing with local bands The FB and Funkicity, will launch Murmur at the Quarff Hall on 22 June.
The album, which was made in Mareel, is “cinematic in scope and yet beautifully minimalist and ambient in quality” and it utilised a variety of recording techniques.
Lewis will be accompanied in Quarff by Matthew Adam and Hannah Adamson, while Adam will also provide support.
Tickets are available now via Shetland Arts’ box office, while punters can also purchase a ticket and CD package.
