…eventually myself included.Just a word about the power of Netflix as it brings your area of the world into focus for countless viewers of Shetland.
Thus far I’m only in the earliest stages of learning about the islands. Am assuming that tourism is important, more is better, and that the popularity of Shetland may be of great value in this regard.
But please be prepared to think carefully about not allowing visitors to transform your hospitality infrastructure in ways that compromise what makes your islands so appealing.
If smiling investors with pretty “American teeth” start asking questions and making suggestions…tell them to get back across the Atlantic and finish the job of spoiling their own country first. And if Trump comes and starts talking golf courses, hotels, televised beauty pageants, etc. just tell him the climate will turn his hair green and the cell service is spotty.
