Letters / Fiasco raises questions
The fiasco/furore over the recent offer of a seat on Shetland Charitable Trust to a person who subsequently decided not to accept the offer, surely raises questions about the judgment of the trustees, does it not? (Younger decides against taking up charitable trust role; SN, 24/04/2017)
The affair certainly underlines the desirability of having a majority of trustees elected by the public, whose judgment of candidates might be more reliable.
