News / Scouting For Girls head north
CHART-TOPPING pop rock band Scouting For Girls will visit Shetland later this year as part of a tenth anniversary tour.
The band, known for tracks like She’s So Lovely and This Ain’t a Love Song, will perform at Mareel in Lerwick on 26 October.
The show is the first date of a lengthy anniversary tour celebrating the release of their 2007 self-titled debut album, which reached No.1 in the UK.
Scouting For Girls will perform the record in full on the tour.
The band have made three albums since their debut, including 2010’s Everybody Wants to Be on TV and their last effort Still Thinking About You, which was released a couple of years ago.
More recently, frontman Roy Stride has written songs for global pop groups such as One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer and McBusted.
Tickets for the Mareel show are expected to go on sale next Friday (28 April).
