News / Global rhythm in Sandwick
AN EVENING of “exceptional international musicality” is set to take place this weekend in Sandwick as promoter Shetland Jazz and World Sounds returns after a break of over one year.
Israel percussionist Asaf Sirkis and African drummer and singer Bruce Ncube, as well as local Eastern European inspired band Odessa, will perform at the Carnegie Hall on Saturday.
There will also be a workshop at the venue on the same day at 2pm, with all musicians invited to attend to explore all things rhythm.
Tickets for the concert, which is being held by Shetland JAWS and Grassroots Arts, are available now online or on the door.
