News / Town centre heritage
ANYONE with stories, photos, memorabilia or anecdotes about Lerwick town centre’s past and present is being encouraged to take part in a new heritage project.
Living Lerwick is holding a drop-in session at its office at 7 Mounthooly Street on Monday between 2pm and 6pm for people who have interesting tales to tell.
The information gathered will be used in a Living Lerwick mobile phone app to inform users about the history of the area and its points of interest.
It will also be published on a website which will be used by school pupils.
