News / Free seafood seminars

UHI Shetland's Scalloway campus.

TWO free seminars about promoting and selling fish will be held at Scalloway’s NAFC Marine Centre on Thursday.

National industry body Seafish will host the sessions and anyone involved in the seafood industry is welcome to attend.

A morning event, which will start at 10.45am, will explore promoting fish and shellfish locally and nationally and how Seafish can help businesses access marketing resources.

An afternoon session kicking off at 1.45pm will see experts discuss trends in fish markets and prices, as well as what happens to fish when it leaves Shetland.

Regional manager and Shetland seafish liaison Craig Burton, marketing manager Heather Middleton and market insight analyst Julia Brooks will all attend.

For more information and to book a place, contact Craig Burton at craig.burton@seafish.co.uk.
