News / Summer ferry timetable

The ferry terminal at Toft, which serves the North Isles.

THE SUMMER 2017 timetable for Shetland Islands Council’s inter-island ferries will be online tomorrow and will take effect in early April.

Block bookings will be open for regular ferry users, while other summer timetable bookings will be accepted from Monday 13 March. The new timetable takes effect from Monday 10 April.

For a trial period this summer, the ferry booking office at Ulsta will also now open on Sundays from 8.30am until 4.30pm.

That will allow passengers to speak to a member of staff by telephone seven days a week during the summer months to make and amend inter-island ferry bookings.

  • Online bookings are also available at ferry.shetland.gov.uk, while electronic copies of the summer 2017 timetable will be available from www.shetland.gov.uk/ferries/timetable.asp.
