Letters / Don’t let the facts get in the way
It still amazes me just how wrong Douglas Young can be, (Incompetence; SN, 24/01/17).
First the missile, which was unarmed therefore not a nuclear weapon, second it was launched and went off course in June 2016 and could not be triggered because as stated it was unarmed.
Article 50 is not due to be triggered until March 2017, making the time between the two depending on the exact dates, between eight and nine months not 48 hours.
Knowing Mr Young’s political persuasion, I would have thought it would have been more informed of him to comment on those nasty judges not allowing the devolved government of Scotland a say in the Brexit negotiations.
But hey why let a few facts get in the way of triggering a bit of Westminster bashing.
