BEING the “mug” who obtained cocaine for himself and two friends landed a 47 year old man in trouble.
David Leadbetter, of Ladieside, Brae, admitted at Lerwick Sheriff Court to being concerned in the supply of the class A drug when he was stopped on the A970 on 21 September last year.
The fiscal said the crown accepted it was “not a commercial supply” but a case of three friends clubbing together.
Leadbetter was ordered to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work.
A COLLEGE student caught in possession of £40-worth of heroin at the Northlink Ferry Terminal last year has been fined £175.
Jaden Patterson, 29, of Nordavatn, Lerwick, admitted having the class A substance on 2 May last year.
A 49 year old man has been fined £150 after being found with less than half a gram of cannabis.
Paul Batty, of Rudda Court, Lerwick, was stopped by police on the town’s South Road with 0.4 grams of the class B drug on 26 June this year.
