News / Man charged with assault

POLICE in Lerwick have confirmed that a man has been arrested and charged with assault following a disturbance at a house at West Baila on Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, police have traced a crucial female witness they were looking for earlier in the day.

Detective sergeant Bruce Peebles said that a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
