News / Bailed on drugs charge

A MAN has been released on a bail after appearing from custody in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court on a charge of supplying drugs.

Twenty four year old Andrew Cheyne, from Lerwick, appeared on Friday on a petition alleging a contravention of section 4(3)(b) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

He made no plea or declaration and was committed for further examination. He was admitted to bail.
