News / Lifeboat called out

LERWICK lifeboat was tasked on Monday evening to assist the small boat Valiant with two people on board after she had fouled her propeller south of Bressay.

By the time the lifeboat arrived at the scene the crew had managed to free the propeller. The lifeboat then escorted the boat back to Lerwick harbour.

Shetland Coastguard was alerted at quarter past seven.
