SHETLAND police are appealing for witnesses following a report of an altercation between a man and a woman at the disused Ministry of Defence buildings at Garths Ness, near Quendale.

The alleged incident took place between 12.30pm and 1.30pm on Thursday.

A police spokesman said they would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area or on the Quendale road at that time.

Anyone with information can call the police on 101.
